Global Premiere seeks to fund new musical works and their performances, world-class and world-wide. The organization invites one highly acclaimed performer per US state or foreign country to participate in a commission and also works to promote those artists and their performances. The result is a commissioning strategy with follow-through, one which ensures that new compositions are not only funded, but also promulgated world-wide with a critical mass of timely, high-level performances for the right audiences.
The maps on each page will populate as the contributors join the consortium(s), showing the progress of each commission as well as giving publicity to the musicians involved. In addition to funding the composition of a new work, our approach endeavors to promote world-wide performance and dissemination of the piece at a professional level, presenting a huge benefit to the composer, the performers, the supporters, and to the collective awareness of new music internationally.
A member contributor is usually a performer, but other entities may also sponsor a performer of their choice in a given locale. While participation in Global Premiere is currently by invitation, we encourage those who have not received an invitation but are interested in being involved to apply using the contact form.
